Games of the Small States of Europe
The Games of the Small States of Europe (GSSE) is held every two years. It is a sort of olympic games for small sovereign states of Europe. To be qualified to this event, the state must have less than one million inhabitants. They are 9: Andorra, Lichtenstein, Malta, Monaco, San Marino, Cyprus, Iceland, Montenegro and Luxembourg. Well, Vatican could be one of them, but for some reason has not sent athletes to compete. This year the games were held in Luxembourg. Luxembourg, Iceland and Cyprus took most of the medals, Luxembourg being the best.

Part of the games took place at Josy Barthel stadium. Josy was a Luxembourgish runner who win 1500 m gold in Helsinki olympic games in 1952.
An athlete from Malta was crying because her dream didn't come true.
Beach volleyball venue was at Coque, freezing conditions.
